About

About CalcDime

CalcDime publishes free calculators for the money questions US households run into most: buying or refinancing a home, paying down debt, saving for retirement and understanding a paycheck.

What you can expect

Each calculator gives a direct answer and then shows how it got there — the formula, the assumptions and what it leaves out. Tax and contribution figures come from IRS and Social Security Administration publications, and every page shows when it was last reviewed. The details are on our methodology page.

There is no account to create and nothing to download. The math runs in your browser, and we do not collect or store the numbers you enter.

How the site is funded

CalcDime is supported by advertising. Advertisers have no say in how the calculators work, which assumptions they use or what results they show. If we ever add affiliate links, they will be labeled. See the advertising disclosure.

Limits

The results are estimates for planning, not offers of credit or personal advice. Before you sign a loan or change your tax withholding, confirm the numbers with the lender, your plan administrator or a tax professional.
